A Creative Experience: Solo Symphony

Our Creative Experience took us to the ballet in a unique production that highlighted the movement behind the music. One of the Creative Fund’s Q Subsidy Grand Awardees, Solo Symphony by Forklift Danceworks, was an absolute delight. The dance, created by choreographer Allison Orr, showcased the intricate, dance like movements that Peter Bay performs as the conductor of the Austin Symphony. Interspersed between Bay’s favorite musical selections was composer Graham Reynolds’ musical melody to Bay’s narrative story of becoming a conductor. After the show, Allison, Peter and Graham joined the Creative Fund members at Zax. It was a wonderful evening as we got to share our love for the performing arts with such amazing talent. We had about 20 Creative Fund Members attend the performance.
